The Engine Thermostat and the coolant should be changed at the same time. The Thermostat controls how much coolant flows throw the engine. If the engine is constantly cold or if the car is over heating a lot it should be replaced.

- Set of Socket Wrench
- Phillips Screwdriver
- Set of large Pipe Pliers
- Oil pan

- New Engine Thermostat
- New Engine Thermostat Seal
[edit] Instructions
- Remove plastic screws from engine coolant under the radiator with Phillips screwdriver. Drain coolant into the oil pan.
- Remove the alarm horn and move it aside.
- Move the belt adjustment bolt vertically next to the engine thermostat
- Carefully use the pipe pliers to twist and loosen the bracket and pull it off
- Use the socket wrench to remove the three bolts holding engine thermostat and pull it away.
- Get the new one with the seal in place and tighten the bolts.
- Use the Phillips screwdriver to tighten and reattach the hose
- Reattach the alarm horn by raising the pulley adjustment bolt all the way
- To finish up, fill up the engine with coolant.
