[edit] Supplies Needed
- New Fuel Filter
[edit] Instructions
- Remove the blue 15A fuel pump fuse located on the right side on the dashboard fuse box.
- To release the pressure in the fuel lines, start the engine and wait for it to stall. Do it a few more times to get all the pressure out of the fuel lines.
- Locate the fuel filter in the back of the engine compartment behind the intake.
- Using the Phillips screwdriver, loosen the clamps on both hoses, the one coming on the bottom from the fuel pump and the other one coming out the top and pull them away from the filter.
- Pull the hoses off of the filter and clean up any fuel that is left in the line with a rag or towel.
- Installing the new filter is the opposite of removal.
- Put the fuel pump fuse back before you try to start the car.
