[edit] Instructions

  1. Make sure your car is off and cool before you start this project.
  2. Remove engine cover by unscrewing four Allen screws
  3. Locate the coil packs and disconnect the wires to them. These will have a harness attached to them.
  4. Use the 10mm sockets to unbolt the bolt on the coil packs. It helps if you have a long extension.
  5. Pull out the coil after you remove the bolts.
  6. Insert the spark plug socket (5/8" or 16mm) with a long extension in the hole the coil pack was in and remove the plug. Repeat for all 6 spark plugs.
  7. Coat the threads of each spark plug with anti-seize and insert it back in.
  8. Coat the inside of the coil where it makes contact with spark plug with a thin layer of dielectric tune-up grease to minimize corrosion.
  9. Reinsert the ignition coil and secure it with the 2 bolts.
  10. Repeat this procedure for all the ignition coils.
  11. Put the EVAP valve back and the plastic ring.
  12. Reconnect the coils.
  13. Put the cover back on the front 3 coils.
  14. Finish up by starting the car and testing the engine.
