[edit] Instructions
Replace your motor mount if is deteriorating, cracked or leaking hydraulic fluid.
- If you have cruise control, remove the actuator box under the hood.
- On the electrical connector there are two clips; one holds the two plugs together, and one holds the plugs to the bracket.
- First remove the plugs from the bracket, and then unplug them from each other.
- Move the actuator box up and out of the way.
- The 3 10mm bolts are circled in yellow.
- If you have power steering, you need to move the power steering fluid reservoir out of the way.
- It is held in place on the back by a bracket and comes off the bracket by sliding up. Pivot the bottom hose on its fitting at the bottom of the reservoir to make the power steering fluid reservoir out of the way. Keep a rag handy and try to keep the reservoir cap on.
- Remove 2 17mm nuts near the upper timing belt cover and the bolt on the side.
- Remove the motor mount.Cracked old mount
- Install new mount the same way the old one was removed.
- To make things easier, first get the nuts started on their studs just a little bit, then align the center of the mount so that the bolt can go through and start to thread it in a little bit.
- Once the bolt is through then tighten the nuts and then the bolt.
- Put the power steering reservoir and cruise control actuator back into position.
- Done!
