Safety Precautions:
- Safety should be your number one priority.
- If you have long hair cover it with a baseball cap
- Don't smoke, drink alcoholic beverages, or wear a necktie while working on the car.
- Watch out for hot objects, sharp instruments, hazardous materials and other potential safety hazards in and around your workspace.
- Don't work with a Philips screwdriver when the job calls for a flat screwdriver. Substituting tools can compromise your safety or a vehicle's performance.

- Rag (optional)
- 8 mm Nut Driver with extension or a Phillips Screwdriver
[edit] Supplies Needed
- Air Filter (Purolator A25456 or equivalent)
[edit] Instructions
Change your Air Filter every 6 months.
- Cool down the engine for 10 to 15 minutes before starting.
- Open hood and keep it open with hood prop.
- Locate the air filter housing on the drivers side of the engine compartment between the battery and the firewall.
- Loosen the five bolts in the housing cover with a Phillips screwdriver or an 8 mm nut driver. Note that the bolts are captive-type fasteners that are not removable from the housing cover. It is easier to loosen the bolts with a nut driver instead of using a Phillips screwdriver. An extension on the nut driver helps in getting to the hard-to-access bolt on the right side nearest the firewall.
- Lift the cover to the side and remove the old air filter.
- Carefully remove air box cover and air filter taking note of which direction the crinkled sided of the filter is facing.
- Remove any debris such as leaves or dead insects and clean out the compartment with a damp rag.
- Install new filter putting it back the same way you took the old one out.
- Replace the housing cover and tighten the five cover bolts.
